Lots of fiddling around, but that is acrylics to me…which is all just hit and miss.:crossfingers: I also find that I am applying several washes to get the right effect so it isn’t a hardship since I can quit applying when the right effect is seen after it dries. I have to drive to the next town forty miles away to see the selection since nobody in town supplies the paints…which isn’t a hardship since I go to church there every Sunday. Sometimes I buy their Heavy Body (Liquitex professional) paint for better coverage at about double the price. Most of my new tubes are the student Liquitex (value series) called BASICS. Today were doing an easy dollar tree DIY canvas painting with crushed glass. I have old tubes of Windsor&Newton Galeria which work quite well after all these years. I shop at the dollar store (we are both from the same province) and have no problem with them. Just wanting to know what you thought about using the more expensive paints. However, the black canvas painting was done with Golden Fluid Acrylics, very expensive paint, tiny little bottles that cost so much! I am attaching some of my paintings done in cheap acrylic paints. So will expensive acrylic paint really make me shine? Will I sell thousands of paintings? (Just joking). But would the type of acrylic paint make a difference?
